Senior Go Backend Engineer – Remote (Contract via Deel)

About the role

Compass is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep Go expertise to join its remote engineering team. The role is contract‑based through Deel and supports the company’s real‑estate platform across Argentina, Uruguay, and Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale backend platforms and microservices that power real‑estate transactions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable systems.
• Participate in architectural discussions and drive technical decision‑making.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience building scalable distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong ownership mindset, from design through production operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
• Legal authorization to work in Argentina, Uruguay, or Mexico.
• Fluent English résumé.
