Senior Engineering Manager – Frontend – Pro

About the role

Kraken is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Frontend team of Kraken Pro. You will shape the technical direction and delivery of the next‑generation trading interface for a global, fully remote team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and deliver performant, modular, and accessible frontend systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to execute the product roadmap.
• Champion user experience through hands‑on dogfooding, feedback loops, and usability improvements.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration across a distributed team.
• Mentor and develop engineers, guiding their technical and professional growth.
• Lead initiatives to modernize the frontend stack, improve reliability, and scale performance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend or full‑stack development.
• 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring 4–8 engineers in a distributed environment.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and React, including React Native for mobile.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive UI design.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for building high‑quality, delightful user experiences in fast‑moving product environments.
