Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Specialized is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering Team. Reporting to the Data and Analytics Team, you will translate business analytics needs into reliable, high‑performance ELT pipelines that power reporting and deeper analysis across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines from the ground up.
• Expand and optimise the data warehouse using the modern cloud‑based stack.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Support and improve existing data pipelines and ensure high availability.
• Enable internal customers to create their own analytics and reports through clear communication and documentation.

Required profile

• Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven experience designing and operating reliable ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Strong communication skills to empower both technical and non‑technical users.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and data‑warehouse concepts.
• Passion for analysing complex data sets and continuous learning.
