Senior Analytics Engineer – Fixed‑Term Contractor

About the role

Compass International Holdings is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join its Data & Analytics team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. Working remotely from Argentina, Uruguay, or Mexico, you will help build a unified analytical platform that powers business intelligence, operational reporting, and data‑science initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with data engineers to design transformation layers that serve as a single source of truth for downstream consumers.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of business‑facing insights, from requirements gathering to modeling, dashboard creation, and self‑service tools.
• Act as the technical liaison for business stakeholders, translating functional needs into scalable, automated solutions.
• Develop data narratives and visual artifacts that drive strategic decision‑making across the organization.
• Design and implement core business metrics that automate reporting and enable deep self‑service capabilities.
• Apply software‑engineering best practices—versioning, modularity, testing—to improve existing analytics infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a technical engineering or analytics role.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Proven ability to build production‑grade data models in a cloud lakehouse environment.
• Experience delivering actionable insights to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and data‑modeling expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
• Full‑stack data‑visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI or similar).
