About the role
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is seeking a proactive consultant to support the upstream activities of its Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Unit. The role focuses on developing diagnostics, analytical tools, and knowledge products that strengthen PPP frameworks across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regional and country‑level diagnostic exercises on PPP regulatory and institutional frameworks.
- Assist in upstream technical assistance, including investment cycle analysis, project prioritization, and performance monitoring.
- Develop and manage PPP knowledge products, such as technical notes, monographs, and research papers.
- Prepare publications, perform statistical and econometric analyses, and synthesize findings into reports and presentations.
- Support the PPP team with administrative tasks, budget monitoring, activity reporting, and event organization.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in economics, public policy, engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in PPP analysis, infrastructure financing, or public sector consulting.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
