Mobile Technology Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Technology Specialist to ensure the quality and compatibility of mobile devices across the region. The role is based in Montevideo and works closely with telecom operators, regulatory bodies, and international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and certify new software versions for mobile devices.
• Conduct technical and field tests on commercial networks.
• Detect, document, and report incidents related to software updates.
• Coordinate homologation and certification processes for equipment.
• Provide technical support to operators and carriers.
• Participate in the rollout of 5G, IMS, RCS, and eSIM technologies.
• Manage technical relationships with regulators in Uruguay and Paraguay.
• Collaborate with regional and international teams on product launches.
• Track samples, certifications, and associated processes for new devices.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mobile telecommunications or high‑tech industries.
• Advanced English for frequent interaction with international teams.
• Experience working with mobile operators, carriers or technology manufacturers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, UMTS, HSDPA, LTE and 5G.
• Familiarity with IMS, RCS and eSIM technologies.
• Experience in device homologation, certification, testing and validation.
