Marketing Team Lead

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Marketing Team Lead to own one of its core marketing tracks. This senior, globally‑remote position will drive strategy, execution and growth for products, partners or sales channels, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead go‑to‑market strategy and campaign execution for the assigned functional area.
• Collaborate with product, sales, content and partner teams to deliver integrated marketing plans.
• Shape messaging, positioning and create assets that resonate with target customers.
• Design and run experiments to validate hypotheses and optimise performance.
• Drive major product launches, marketing initiatives and growth programs.
• Conduct reviews and retrospectives to continuously improve impact.
• Mentor colleagues, raise the function’s standards and champion best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading marketing teams or campaigns in a technology environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with a bias for action and ownership of results.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, sales, content and partner stakeholders.
• Data‑driven mindset, comfortable designing experiments and measuring outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to shape messaging and influence diverse audiences.
