Lead UX/UI Product Designer – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead UX/UI Product Designer to shape the digital experience of our e‑commerce brands. This remote, full‑time position (40 h/week) starts immediately on a two‑month contract with the possibility of extension. You will work closely with our Shopify developer to turn high‑level UX concepts into high‑converting, mobile‑first interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Critique existing UX and wireframes for usability, accessibility and conversion.
• Design high‑fidelity desktop and mobile interfaces in Figma.
• Create end‑to‑end customer journeys that reduce friction and boost sales.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system using components, variables and Auto Layout.
• Specify animations, micro‑interactions and motion design where they improve usability.
• Produce developer‑ready files, documentation and component libraries for seamless hand‑off.
• Collaborate daily with the in‑house Shopify developer during implementation.
• Continuously challenge assumptions and ensure every design decision supports commercial goals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing high‑performing e‑commerce products.
• Strong portfolio showcasing premium digital experiences.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to constructively challenge ideas.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variables and design systems.
• Experience with Shopify platform and implementation workflows.
• Knowledge of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and customer behaviour.
• Design of micro‑interactions, motion design and accessibility best practices.
• Familiarity with AI tools used in the design process.
