Lead Product Designer

About the role

Koin Limited is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape the digital experience of its e‑commerce portfolio. This remote, full‑time contract role focuses on high‑impact UX and conversion‑driven design rather than production‑level tasks. You will own the design process, work closely with a Shopify developer, and influence product decisions from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Critique existing UX and wireframes for usability, accessibility, and conversion.
• Design premium high‑fidelity interfaces in Figma for desktop and mobile.
• Create seamless customer journeys that reduce friction and maximise conversion.
• Build scalable design systems using components, variables, and Auto Layout.
• Design sophisticated e‑commerce interactions and specify animations or micro‑interactions where they add value.
• Collaborate directly with the in‑house Shopify developer during implementation.
• Deliver developer‑ready files, documentation, and component libraries.
• Challenge assumptions and ensure every design decision serves a clear commercial purpose.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing high‑performing e‑commerce experiences.
• Strong UX and UI design expertise with a conversion‑focused mindset.
• Proven ability to work closely with developers and deliver production‑ready assets.
• Outstanding portfolio showcasing premium digital products.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to constructively challenge ideas.
• Desirable experience with Shopify, live commerce or video‑first projects, behavioural design, motion design, AI‑assisted design processes, and accessibility best practices.
