Java Backend Developer – Spring Boot

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a global customer project. You will design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, enhance and support RESTful APIs for seamless system integration.
• Develop micro‑services architectures focused on scalability, security and performance.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities and release management.
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps and other cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on Java backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience designing and implementing micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues in mission‑critical applications.
• Understanding of software design principles, design patterns and best practices.
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
