ISV Technical Alliance Manager

About the role

The Software Alliances team at Canonical is looking for an ISV Technical Alliance Manager to drive collaboration with leading software partners. You will help shape joint product roadmaps, enable Ubuntu‑based solutions, and support partners from cloud to edge.

Key responsibilities

• Work with product, engineering, alliance and marketing teams at partner organisations to align open‑source strategies.
• Gather partner requirements, assess gaps, and identify opportunities for Canonical.
• Coordinate messaging, content creation and launch plans with marketing and product teams.
• Produce partner‑facing materials such as reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, presentations, videos and white papers.
• Promote Ubuntu adoption within targeted alliance accounts and deliver enablement training for partner development, delivery, support and commercial teams.
• Influence partners to build solutions using Canonical technology.
• Travel up to 25 % of the time, including international trips for conferences and partnership meetings.

Required profile

• Strong academic record and a Bachelor’s degree in science, technology or engineering.
• Up to 7 years of experience in software development, system architecture, product management or business development.
• Customer‑facing experience in technology‑focused roles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from individual contributors to the C‑suite.
• Self‑motivated and disciplined in a remote‑first work environment.
