Finance Process Excellence & Training Specialist

About the role

The Finance Process Excellence & Training Specialist will strengthen Kuehne+Nagel's Internal Control System (ICS) across the Americas. Based in Montevideo, you will act as the central subject‑matter expert for the General Ledger and Reporting Knowledge Center, supporting governance, execution and continuous improvement of internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the governance, execution and enhancement of the ICS framework for finance operations in the Americas.
• Provide expert guidance on control design, assessment methodology, documentation standards and evidence retention.
• Monitor control performance through quality reviews, identify gaps and drive improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate remediation of control deficiencies, perform root‑cause analysis and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Global Finance, Knowledge Centers and National Finance teams to maintain an effective control environment and promote a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, internal controls, internal audit, compliance or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Control Systems, governance frameworks and financial processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Auditing or a related field.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and leadership qualities.
