Concept Artist (Game Development)

About the role

Jam City’s Narrative Game division is seeking a talented Concept Artist to help shape the visual direction of a brand‑new project. You will translate narrative and design needs into detailed 2D concepts for props, environments, and characters that guide our 3D artists.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and sketch designs for environments, props, and characters based on story requirements.
• Render high‑quality artwork that matches the established art style.
• Generate orthographic views for characters.
• Create 2D assets such as icons, UI modals, and title screens for implementation.
• Work within technical constraints of the production pipeline.
• Collaborate with the broader art team and other disciplines to solve design challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a concept artist in the games industry.
• Versatile art style capable of both rough sketches and polished renders.
• Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy and character posing.
• Ability to translate 2D concepts into fully rendered looks with proper lighting and material knowledge.
• Art degree or equivalent professional experience.
