Collection Analyst – Fixed-Term (6 months)

About the role

The Collection Analyst supports BASF's Finance Order‑to‑Cash team in Montevideo, ensuring efficient collection processes across the Americas. This fixed‑term, project‑based position lasts at least six months and combines client interaction with internal coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Contact clients via email, phone, and WhatsApp to address collection matters.
• Send updated account statements to low‑complexity clients and relevant sales teams.
• Provide necessary information to the Accounts Receivable team for payment application and keep client data current in the Get Paid collection tool.
• Communicate billing discrepancies reported by clients to the appropriate internal team.
• Participate in ad‑hoc client meetings and business discussions.
• Follow established guidelines and assist with internal and external audits.
• Contribute to small‑scale projects under the guidance of a focal point.

Required profile

• Student or bachelor’s degree in International Business, Communication, or a related field.
• Previous experience in similar collection or accounts‑receivable roles is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and basic problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (valued).
