Analytics (BI) Engineer – Data Reporting & Modeling

About the role

SunnyData is looking for an Analytics (BI) Engineer to design, build and maintain business intelligence solutions that enable data‑driven decision making. The role combines reporting, data modeling and engineering to deliver reliable, high‑performance dashboards for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify and maintain dashboards and reports in PowerBI, Tableau and Databricks.
• Translate business requests submitted via ticketing system into accurate data visualisations.
• Optimize SQL queries and dashboard performance for speed and clarity.
• Create and maintain database views, derived tables and other analytical objects.
• Perform data modeling and transformation tasks to support downstream reporting.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and validate data accuracy across systems.
• Document metric definitions, logic and assumptions for all reports.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence or data engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and proven data‑validation practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and defining reporting standards.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data warehouses.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Databricks and Looker.
• Data modeling and transformation expertise.
