AIT Engineer – Optomechanical Systems

About the role

Satellogic is seeking an AIT Engineer to join its high‑complexity satellite manufacturing team, focusing on optomechanical systems. You will translate engineering requirements into integrated, validated hardware solutions and support the full satellite manufacturing lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead physical and electrical integration of optomechanical payloads, mechanical subsystems, and platform‑level hardware.
• Support planning, definition, and execution of environmental and functional testing campaigns, including Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) and mechanical vibration tests.
• Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot hardware faults, investigate root causes, and work with R&D to develop on‑shop‑floor solutions.
• Generate test reports, document Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), and participate in change‑management activities.
• Collaborate with satellite engineering and pilot‑plant teams to ensure rapid production feasibility under tight deadlines.
