Agent Commission Specialist

About the role

The Agent Commission Specialist will lead the accounting team responsible for calculating, reconciling and processing commission statements and payments for independent travel advisors and affiliates. This role ensures accurate monthly payouts, maintains strong advisor relationships, and supports compliance with tax reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and calculate commissions due to independent advisors and affiliates.
• Process monthly commission payments and generate timely reports.
• Prepare and file 1099/1098 tax forms for all independent advisors.
• Onboard new independent contractors and maintain accurate records.
• Enter and reconcile month‑end inter‑company transactions.
• Monitor Service Desk tickets, assign them appropriately, and ensure critical issues are resolved promptly.
• Collaborate with management to identify root causes of issues and propose solutions.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
• Critical thinking, autonomy, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of the travel industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Agresso (preferred).
• Experience with NetSuite (preferred).
• Experience with TM1 Perspectives (preferred).
