Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Accounting Specialist will support the SNAP US/CA business unit by managing the full accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles, ensuring accurate financial records in line with GAAP and company policies. This role interacts with internal teams and external agents and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily AR cash receipts (checks, credit cards, wire, ACH) and match them to commissions.
• Research and resolve payments lacking backup documentation.
• Review vendor invoices, validate expenses, and execute timely AP payments.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly commission payments to agencies and Travel Leaders Network.
• Conduct weekly ARC/BSP reconciliations and coordinate with the AirDesk team.
• Maintain cash register, journal entries, and monthly cash balances.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal entry generation.
• Support the annual financial audit and respond to customer issues via the SNAP inbox.
• Maintain the AR/AP database, including customer and vendor records.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Ability to research, analyze, and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in journal entries and reconciliations.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interactions.
