Accountant – Vacation Rental Industry

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support our vacation‑rental clients. You will join a collaborative finance team, delivering accurate reporting and accounting services that directly impact our clients’ growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple clients, including AP/AR, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant regulations, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Perform job costing, project accounting and budget‑to‑actual analysis as required.
• Support tax compliance by preparing documentation, coordinating with external tax advisors and assisting audit requests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams, providing insights to improve financial operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy and scalability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Fluent English (B2+) and comfortable communicating with high‑profile clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment.
• Availability 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday‑Friday, working as an independent contractor.
