Corporate Treasury Senior Analyst – Montevideo

About the role

Syngenta is seeking a Corporate Treasury Senior Analyst to join its Finance Operations team in Montevideo, Uruguay. The role acts as a critical control and analytical bridge between front‑office trading activities and back‑office settlement, ensuring accurate treasury transaction processing and robust risk management across the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly FX exposure reports for all entities in the Americas, gathering data from A2R, I2P, O2C, Tax, and Business Finance.
• Analyze net positions, propose hedge actions, and ensure hedge results are booked according to Group Treasury policies.
• Identify commodity exposure from new customer orders and broker requests, managing hedge unwind activities.
• Execute month‑end close activities, including treasury accounting postings for cash investments, loans, and other transactions.
• Maintain position data, reconcile trade confirmations, and provide insights on FX exposure, hedging costs, and unrealized gains/losses.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to treasury processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate treasury, FX exposure analysis, and hedging instruments.
• Strong understanding of treasury accounting and month‑end close procedures.
• Ability to work closely with Treasury Operations, Finance, and external counterparties.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and compliance orientation.
