IT Business Analyst – Functional/Business Analyst

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a detail‑oriented IT Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, translating complex requirements into actionable specifications for multiple technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements for IT projects.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications, including user stories, process flows and use‑case diagrams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges and expected outcomes.
• Work closely with development, QA and technical teams to ensure accurate interpretation of requirements.
• Create and maintain BRDs, functional specifications and other project documentation.
• Support backlog creation, refinement and prioritisation in Agile environments.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings and requirement‑review sessions.
• Validate solutions through testing support, define test cases and participate in UAT.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and recommend technology‑driven solutions.
• Track project progress, identify risks and assist in issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on IT projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
