HR Business Partner

About the role

Blend is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join its Uruguay team. This hybrid position blends strategic HR partnership with hands‑on operational execution, serving as the trusted advisor for leaders and employees across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and global People Operations to shape talent strategy, organizational design, and people decisions that drive business outcomes.
• Provide counsel on leadership development, succession planning, and retention of key talent.
• Design and champion culture initiatives that reinforce Blend values and foster belonging.
• Lead employee engagement, performance, and development conversations with empathy and business acumen.
• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding, ensuring documentation, compliance, and cultural integration.
• Administer benefits, compensation, and payroll coordination; act as the primary point of contact for benefits inquiries.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data integrity, and ensure consistent policy implementation in line with local regulations.
• Coordinate with external HR service providers and manage vendor relationships.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards to give leadership visibility into people‑related trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, with a balance of strategic thinking and operational delivery.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and ability to work independently.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS systems and data management.
• Knowledge of local labor regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in preparing HR metrics, reports, and dashboards.
