Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

RemoFirst is looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to manage global contractor invoices and payments. You will work across multiple currencies and countries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while supporting the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Process contractor invoices and payments in various currencies.
• Review, validate, and reconcile payment data against client billing and internal records.
• Coordinate with payment providers to resolve delays, discrepancies, or technical issues.
• Manually intervene in payments when automated workflows require it.
• Prepare contractor‑related accruals and payment reports for month‑end closing.
• Collaborate with Client Operations, Product, Finance AR, and Finance Reporting teams.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives, including automation and workflow optimisation.
• Respond to internal requests from Client Services and Finance teams within SLA timelines.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in finance operations, accounts payable, or payment processing in a multi‑currency environment.
• Knowledge of invoicing best practices and cross‑border payment processing.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑department collaboration.
• Tech‑savvy with a proactive mindset toward process improvement.
