Automation Tester – Playwright Specialist

About the role

TCS is looking for an experienced Automation Tester to support a global customer. You will lead the design and implementation of Playwright‑based test solutions, ensuring high‑quality software delivery across UI and API layers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks with a strong focus on Playwright.
• Create and execute automated test cases for UI and API testing.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed to achieve full coverage.
• Build scalable, reusable frameworks (TDD/BDD/Hybrid) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams in Agile environments.
• Conduct system integration, end‑to‑end workflow, back‑end, and database testing.
• Identify, analyze, and report defects, ensuring proper tracking and resolution.
• Propose improvements to increase automation efficiency and coverage.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and automation artifacts.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
• Proficiency in API and UI automation testing.
• Solid programming/scripting skills in C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (or similar) for test management.
• Hands‑on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Experience testing modern applications built with .NET, Java, Angular, or Node.js.
• Database testing experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB.
