Accounting to Reporting Senior Analyst – Fixed Term (12 months)

About the role

Syngenta’s Finance Business Partnering team in Montevideo is looking for an Accounting to Reporting Senior Analyst on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports accurate financial recording, balance‑sheet reconciliations and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Record all business transactions in the ERP system in accordance with IFRS for group reporting and local GAAP for statutory reporting.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations to meet corporate IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Provide substantiation for financial balances, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance and Business Finance teams to verify account accuracy and support approvals.
• Contribute to overall financial compliance and the reliability of financial statements.

Required profile

• Graduate or advanced student in Accounting/Economics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Intermediate level of English (mandatory).
• Strong attention to data accuracy, analytical mindset and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
