Treasury Operations Manager Americas

About the role

Syngenta’s Global Services & Solutions Finance team is looking for a Treasury Operations Manager for the Americas region, based in Montevideo, Uruguay. The role leads a team of about 12 professionals and ensures the reliable, compliant, and timely execution of cash, liquidity, FX, funding, banking, treasury accounting and control activities across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office treasury activities, set priorities and manage performance of the team.
• Execute cash, liquidity, funding and risk‑management operations in line with corporate policies, ensuring no critical funding gaps and timely cash centralisation.
• Identify, validate and hedge committed FX exposure across the Americas, keeping residual exposure within approved limits.
• Oversee month‑end Treasury reporting, control of cash, FX exposure and Net Financial Expense metrics, and drive analytics on open items.
• Manage internal‑control testing, support audits and financial‑statement preparation, escalating material issues per SLAs.
• Coordinate banking setup, account governance, signatory management, bank fees, service quality and corporate card programmes for the region.
• Drive transformation initiatives such as the SAP Treasury LATAM implementation and advance digital tools including dashboards, automation and AI‑enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of treasury experience covering cash/liquidity management, FX risk, funding and treasury accounting.
• Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver operational excellence.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in process improvement and digital transformation.
