About the role

Biriden | Instrumental Científico is seeking a qualified Electronics Technician or Engineer to join its laboratory equipment service team in Montevideo. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing scientific instruments for clinical, biological, chemical, quality‑control and research laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, commission and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory instruments at client sites and in the workshop.
• Diagnose faults, carry out electronic, electrical and electromechanical repairs, and document all actions.
• Prepare technical reports, service quotations and collaborate with the sales team to provide technical advice to customers.
• Ensure safety and compliance of all serviced equipment.

Required profile

• Formal training in Electronics, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in soldering electronic components and using specialized workshop tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve failures in laboratory electronic equipment.
• Experience with calibration, functional verification and detailed documentation of maintenance tasks.
• Intermediate level of English (documented) and a valid driver’s license.
