Software QA Specialist – Automated Testing Engineer

About the role

As an Automated QA Engineer at Descartes, you will strengthen the quality, reliability and release confidence of our software solutions through test automation across web applications, APIs and data layers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for web applications using Selenium, increasing coverage of critical business workflows.
• Build and execute comprehensive automated API tests with Postman and SOAPUI, validating REST and SOAP services.
• Use SQL to verify data integrity, troubleshoot issues and ensure consistency across systems.
• Maintain automated regression suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Investigate test failures, document defects and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation frameworks and apply AI‑assisted testing techniques.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automated software testing for web applications and integrated systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium, SQL and API testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating across the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
