Senior Sourcing Manager

About the role

ALTOUR, a corporate travel management company and division of Internova Travel Group, is hiring a Senior Sourcing Manager. The role leads complex venue sourcing projects for high-value client meetings and events, sourcing hotels and venues, negotiating contracts and tracking financial impact. It works closely with account managers, sales, finance and meeting planners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead venue sourcing for complex, high-value client meetings and events
• Act as a strategic advisor, aligning sourcing decisions with client objectives and business goals
• Manage RFPs and gather venue proposals using Cvent and other tools
• Conduct site inspections and negotiate contracts, then oversee contracting and hand off to the Meeting Planner
• Maintain accurate venue budget data and provide financial inputs for project close-out
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Finance and Event Technology teams
• Stay current on sourcing trends, attend supplier education, and mentor team members on sourcing and negotiations

Required profile

• 7+ years of related experience in the meeting and events industry with a sourcing focus
• 3-4 years planning high-profile programs, preferably with a sourcing focus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Certified Meeting Professional designation preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
• Proficiency in Cvent for RFP management, proposal review and contract negotiations
• Preferred: experience with SmartSheet or similar tools, and comfort with CRM, budget management and sourcing intelligence platforms
