Job description

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the creation of client design systems. You will translate brand guidelines into reusable token architectures and component libraries that can be executed by automated pipelines.

Key responsibilities

Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that pipelines can read predictably.
Ship core component libraries that work across entire sites, not just homepages.
Document the system so developers or automated pipelines can execute it without questions.
Work across several client brands simultaneously, maintaining distinct visual identities with consistent structural rigor.

Required profile

4+ years designing for the web with real design‑system work in your portfolio.
Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto‑layout, and variants.
A portfolio that shows different client looks but the same underlying rigor.
Strong English skills and ability to overlap with US business hours.
