Senior Product Designer – Contractor (via Deel)

About the role

Compass is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our team on a contract basis through Deel. Based in Uruguay, you will lead the creation of intuitive, data‑driven user experiences for web, iOS, and Android platforms, shaping the UX strategy for complex workflow products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a customer‑centered UX strategy from concept through shipping.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into cohesive designs.
• Develop and maintain components for the company design system, ensuring consistency across platforms.
• Prototype, test, and iterate on designs, leveraging data insights to improve product value.
• Participate in sprint planning, roadmap discussions, and design reviews.

Required profile

• 6‑8+ years of experience designing enterprise software, with a strong portfolio of web and native mobile projects.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to executives and aligning cross‑functional teams.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Deep knowledge of modern UI patterns, design systems, and accessibility best practices.
• Ability to create pixel‑perfect designs and detailed interaction specifications.
