Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Geopagos is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its payment‑acceptance platform in Latin America. You will help design, build and operate highly available, secure and scalable cloud infrastructure that powers digital payments for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement architectures for new products.
• Administer, evolve and support the Kubernetes‑based application hosting platform.
• Ensure performance, security, scalability and resilience of the infrastructure.
• Perform low‑level troubleshooting using OS, runtimes and observability tools (APM, logging, monitoring).
• Assist production releases and create self‑healing automations, participating in on‑call rotations.
• Build and maintain diagnostic dashboards, alerts and troubleshooting instruments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application code.
• Work in an agile environment, manage tickets, document processes and share knowledge through pairing and mentoring.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD flows, Canary and Blue‑Green deployments.
• Solid understanding of networking basics, load balancing, DNS, firewalls and routing.
• Strong Linux administration skills and Bash scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with ELK/EFK stacks, Elastic Cloud and APM tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, DataDog).
• Proficiency in Python, Go or advanced Bash is a plus.
• Extensive work in AWS environments (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, API Gateway).
• Docker Swarm experience is desirable.
