Senior Azure Platform / DevOps Engineer

About the role

We build and run cloud platforms for our clients, standing up reusable Terraform foundations and adapting them per client. As a Senior Azure Platform / DevOps Engineer you will design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end Azure environments from an empty subscription, ensuring reliability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Stand up new Azure platforms from scratch, including networking, compute, data services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Make architectural decisions, assess Terraform changes for safety, and execute migrations with proper runbooks and rollback plans.
• Maintain platform health over time: provider upgrades, drift remediation, security hardening, and shared foundation stewardship.
• Collaborate directly with client DevOps engineers, explain plans, troubleshoot failures, and build trust.
• Document processes and create clear runbooks for autonomous operation.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience building and operating production Azure environments.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, subnets, private endpoints, NSGs, UDRs, NAT, Application Gateway, WAF, load balancers, hub‑and‑spoke, Virtual WAN).
• Proficiency with Terraform on Azure, including state management, workspaces, migrations, imports, and remote backends.
• Experience with Azure Container Registry, VM Scale Sets, cloud‑init, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Familiarity with Azure data services such as Postgres Flexible Server, managed Redis, and Blob storage.
• Understanding of Entra ID, RBAC, app registrations, and service principals across subscriptions.
• Strong written communication and ability to produce clear runbooks.
