Senior AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and operate production‑grade large language model (LLM) solutions, including agentic and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. You will work on security‑sensitive projects for startups and world‑class companies, collaborating with clients during discovery and pre‑sales phases.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy LLM‑based agents, orchestration pipelines, and multi‑step workflows in environments where public cloud services are restricted.
• Design, implement, and monitor RAG pipelines, including data chunking, embeddings, vector store integration, hybrid search, and reranking.
• Assess legacy systems and unstructured data to define new AI‑driven solutions and participate in technical pre‑sales discussions.
• Ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements, handling PII, anonymization, access control, and audit logging.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience, with at least 2 years delivering real‑world LLM projects.
• Experience working in security‑sensitive environments that require strict compliance and auditability.
• Proven ability to influence architecture decisions with clients and guide discovery sessions.

Required skills

• Strong expertise with LLMs, agents, orchestration, tool calling, and multi‑step workflows.
• Hands‑on RAG experience: chunking, embeddings, vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch), hybrid search, reranking.
• Advanced SQL, Databricks or Spark pipelines, relational databases, ERP integrations, API design and backend integration.
• Cloud infrastructure, on‑premise model serving, and observability tools such as Langfuse or LangSmith.
• Security best practices: anonymization, PII handling, access control, audit logging.
