Senior Accounting & Reporting Analyst – Fixed‑Term (7 months)

About the role

Syngenta’s Finance Operations team in Montevideo is looking for a Senior Accounting & Reporting Analyst on a 7‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports accurate financial reporting, fixed‑asset management and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely substantiation of monthly financial reporting in line with Syngenta’s reporting requirements.
• Record costs of newly added fixed assets, calculate depreciation and account for impairments or disposals.
• Prepare adjustments and ensure timely, accurate posting of all Fixed Asset transactions.
• Review project completion and capitalization, monitoring Asset‑under‑Construction (AUC) accounts.
• Analyze bank transactions and ensure proper accounting in collaboration with other Finance Operations areas.
• Record all business transactions in the ERP system according to IFRS for group reporting and local GAAP for statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with GFO partners in India to maintain data quality and reliable output.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency of relevant processes.
• Support fixed‑asset management and uphold high financial compliance standards.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure timely remediation of audit issues.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Accounting or Management (mandatory).
• 2‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably with fixed assets and banking.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is highly valuable.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational and deadline‑driven mindset.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS.
• Process‑improvement and efficiency orientation.
