About the role

The Temple Ordinances Secretary supports the Temple Administration by ensuring attentive service to members and accurate handling of sacred ordinances. This full‑time, onsite position reports to the Temple Recorder and plays a key role in maintaining precise records and smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex situations and resolve member inquiries.
• Monitor registration functions and the computer systems used for record‑keeping.
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, scheduling, and training of volunteers.
• Perform assigned administrative tasks and supervise daily data entry of audited material and system corrections.
• Ensure strict adherence to established processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Current temple recommendation.
• At least two years of higher education and two years of personal computer experience.
• Supervisory experience, including motivating and training staff.
• Strong teamwork orientation, pleasant personality, and excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to develop new ideas, handle confidential information, and work evenings Tuesday‑Saturday, including holidays.
• Desired leadership experience and familiarity with the Temple Information System (TIS) and Family Search.
