Retail Service Specialist – Customer Service & Operations

About the role

The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in delivering excellent sales, customer service, and store operations. This role also assumes shift‑management duties when senior managers are absent, ensuring smooth store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead team members to provide outstanding service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer‑service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
• Answer phones according to company policy and manage online orders, transfers, and special orders efficiently.
• Process returns, exchanges, refunds, and ensure accurate invoicing of merchandise, warranties, and core charges.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate merchandising tasks, and oversee schedule adherence.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, including cash handling, deposit preparation, security checks, and vehicle securing.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Strong communication abilities.
• Willingness to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair.
• ASE Certification (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish (highly desired).
