Purchase to Pay Finance Analyst (Fixed-term Project)

About the role

The Purchase to Pay Finance Analyst will support internal clients and external suppliers across North America and Central America & Caribbean (NA&CAC) in the processing of invoices, credit notes and payments. This fixed‑term, project‑based position is based in BASF’s Montevideo hub and contributes to the end‑to‑end P2P service that keeps chemical plants running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Review and post invoices and credit notes, with or without purchase orders, ensuring timely processing.
• Manage payment runs for BASF plants in the assigned regions.
• Provide support to internal customers and handle supplier claims according to BASF, FRC and local legal policies.
• Act as a key contact for business units, category buyers, requestors, suppliers, master data owners and local finance teams.
• Identify and implement actions to improve stakeholder experience and process efficiency.
• Support small‑scale projects and assist with internal or external audits when required.
• Collaborate with P2P Procurement to cover the full acquisition‑to‑payment cycle.
