Project Manager – Operaciones Logísticas y Portuarias

About the role

The Project Manager will act as the central coordination point between the client, AMS and multiple subcontractors for a large‑scale logistics and port operation based at the Port of Montevideo. The role requires flexible working hours, including possible weekend and off‑hour availability, and a strong on‑site presence across docks, storage yards and intra‑port facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute operational activities through subcontractors and suppliers such as cranes, trucks, stevedores and machine operators.
• Manage loading, unloading and material movement processes.
• Handle work orders and ensure proper documentation tracking.
• Organize lifting resources, transport and operational personnel.
• Serve as the main liaison with the client, monitor project progress and report advances and deviations.
• Oversee administrative aspects of the service, including billing and payments.
• Ensure safe operating conditions and compliance with HSE procedures and standards.
• Maintain on‑site presence at the dock, storage areas, intra‑port warehouses and other operational zones.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational coordination of logistics, port or industrial services, or construction site management.
• Knowledge of lifting, assembly and HSE practices.
• Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
• Solution‑oriented, organized, comfortable in the field and able to manage multiple interfaces.
• Experience in large‑scale projects or demanding industrial environments is a plus.
• Engineering degree or related technical background.
