About the role
The Programme Analyst will support UNDP Uruguay’s 2026‑2030 programme on democratic and people‑centered governance. The role focuses on designing and implementing interventions that improve institutional effectiveness, transparency, participation and innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design, planning and monitoring of governance‑related interventions.
- Support the strengthening of institutional responsiveness, agility and transparency.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance participatory, anticipatory and open‑government practices.
- Help promote rule of law, access to justice and human‑rights based approaches.
- Facilitate decentralisation, proximity governance and public‑sector digitalisation.
- Provide analytical support for data governance, innovation and inter‑institutional coordination.
Required profile
- Relevant academic background in public administration, political science, development studies or related fields.
- Experience working in governance, public‑sector reform or development programmes.
- Understanding of gender‑transformative and human‑rights‑based approaches.
