About the role

We are expanding our customs operations team and are looking for a Technical Officer specialized in tariff classification. The professional will independently manage the full import cycle, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and clear communication with clients and public authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Load and manage import shipments through all stages: documentation, review, validation, tracking and release.
• Operate the MEGA 6 system fluently.
• Perform tariff classification with precise application of NCM codes, permits and current regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, shipping lines, warehouses, suppliers and agencies such as DNA, LATU and MGAP.
• Control costs, taxes, certifications and pre‑clearance requirements.
• Verify commercial and regulatory documents including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates and permits.
• Generate reports and maintain documentation according to ISO 9001 standards.
• Anticipate deviations, communicate incidents and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Provide professional, proactive service to corporate clients.
• Lead the management team.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of proven experience handling complete import shipments.
• Mastery of the MEGA 6 system.
• Hands‑on experience in tariff classification (NCM, permits, technical criteria).
• Professional training in Foreign Trade, Customs Brokerage or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with precision, autonomy and technical responsibility.
