About the role

We are looking for underground cabling officials to join a major national company operating in the Paysandú department. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, and requires availability to travel to various interior locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, operation and maintenance of low‑ and medium‑voltage underground cable systems.
• Conduct testing of underground cables using VLF, tangent‑delta and partial‑discharge methods.
• Maintain transmission installations and associated equipment.
• Travel to different sites across the interior as needed.

Required profile

• Professional high‑school diploma (Bachillerato Profesional) with technical training in electrical installations.
• Graduate of DGETP with titles such as BP – Medium Level Technician in operation and maintenance of low/medium voltage installations or transmission installations.
• Or Technological Bachelor (EMT) in electro‑electronics or technical assistant in electromechanics.
• Possession of a Category A driver’s license.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of low‑voltage (LV) and medium‑voltage (MV) electrical installations.
• Operation and maintenance of transmission installations.
• Use of electrical measurement and verification instruments.
• Handling of LV/MV maneuvering and protection equipment.
• Conducting VLF, tangent‑delta and partial‑discharge testing on underground cables.
• Basic knowledge of electromechanics and electro‑electronics.
