Managing Director – Uruguay Operations

About the role

The client, a leading international industrial group, is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Uruguay operations. This senior executive will be responsible for establishing the local organization, restarting the production facility and driving sustainable growth in line with the Group’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the Uruguay operation from the ground up, including governance, processes and organizational structure.
• Build and lead the local management team, fostering a high‑performance, accountable culture.
• Translate Group strategy into local business plans and execution priorities.
• Oversee the safe, efficient and sustainable restart and ramp‑up of the production plant.
• Ensure production readiness, workforce capability, maintenance, raw‑material supply and supply‑chain continuity.
• Monitor operational KPIs covering production, quality, cost, efficiency, reliability and delivery.
• Manage the local P&L and report directly to Group Headquarters, ensuring alignment with Group policies and performance expectations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• International exposure and a track record of leading businesses through growth, transformation or organizational development.
• Strong commercial, operational and people‑leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work hands‑on in an entrepreneurial, rapidly evolving setting.
