Manager of Systems & Automation

About the role

The Manager of Systems & Automation bridges Blend’s business teams and the IT integration team, shaping platforms, integrations, and automations that run the firm. You will work across finance, people, operations, legal, IT, marketing, sales, and delivery functions to identify technology gaps and drive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to map workflows, identify friction points, and prioritize automation and integration opportunities.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the IT team and track solution delivery.
• Develop working knowledge of Blend’s core platforms, promote adoption, and manage change for new technology rollouts.
• Distinguish process problems from technology problems and drive scalable, repeatable solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years in business operations, systems, or technology enablement, preferably in professional services or consulting.
• Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and deliver technology‑enabled solutions from concept to adoption.
• Functional fluency in at least two domains such as Finance, HR/People, Operations, Sales, or Client Management.
• Strong English communication skills and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Integration concepts and automation tools (e.g., n8n, Workato, Power Automate, Zapier).
• Experience with business systems platforms (HRIS, ERP, CRM, PSA).
• Proficiency with AI productivity tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) for research, drafting, and analysis.
• Practical familiarity with APIs and building agentic workflows.
