Ulta Beauty is looking for a Manager of AI Engineering to lead a growing team of AI engineers. This people‑first leadership position focuses on developing talent, delivering high‑quality AI solutions, and establishing the practice as a trusted partner across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI engineers, creating individual development plans and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of AI initiatives, ensuring projects are scoped, prioritized, and executed with high quality.
• Partner with senior AI engineers to set technical direction, validate decisions, and step in hands‑on when needed.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, balancing technical feasibility, business priorities, and team capacity.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to represent the AI engineering practice and align with broader business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical teams, preferably in AI or machine‑learning domains.
• Strong people‑development skills with a track record of building high‑performing engineering teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly, give constructive feedback, and create an environment where the best ideas win.
• Comfortable navigating fast‑moving, ambiguous environments and making data‑driven decisions.
