Lubrication Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Lubrication Technician to join the Maintenance & Performance area at UPM in Paso de los Toros. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability of industrial equipment and installations through systematic lubrication, preventive inspections and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute lubrication plans and procedures for plant equipment and installations.
• Carry out maintenance tasks safely, efficiently and with respect for the environment.
• Perform preventive inspections according to established procedures.
• Analyze technical data to identify equipment anomalies and propose corrective actions.
• Develop repair and improvement recommendations to enhance asset reliability.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and help refine maintenance plans.
• Maintain technical records, reports and data in the CMMS.
• Conduct job safety analyses (AST) and manage work permits when required.
• Promote and comply with safety, health and environmental standards, reporting incidents and non‑conformities.
• Optimize resource usage during maintenance and lubrication activities.

Required profile

• Mechanical Technologist degree or completed technical training as an Industrial Mechanical Technician (e.g., Don Bosco Workshops).
• Previous experience in industrial maintenance; if no degree, at least 3 years in reliability or lubrication.
• Experience with lubrication plans and procedures and with maintenance planning is valued.
• Interest in developing a career in reliability or lubrication.
• Full‑time availability and willingness to relocate to Paso de los Toros or nearby towns.
• Strong analytical ability, result orientation, teamwork and safety commitment.
