Legal Counsel – Corporate Legal Team

About the role

The Corporate Legal team at BASF seeks a Legal Counsel to support divisions across the Americas, Europe and Asia. You will provide high‑quality legal and compliance services, ensuring customer‑oriented, efficient and future‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support BASF businesses in complex contractual analysis, compliance and legal matters.
• Maintain and update model contracts and clauses for BASF standards.
• Prepare reports on contract status, key metrics and performance indicators for management.
• Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and related documents.
• Create and deliver training materials for legal and compliance tools, conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support.
• Guide business units in drafting, negotiating and selecting appropriate high‑complexity contractual vehicles.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate law, intellectual property and compliance matters.
• Ability to work with internal standards and provide customer‑focused legal advice.
• Strong analytical skills for complex contract review and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with global business units.
