Legal Counsel – Corporate & Compliance

About the role

The Corporate Legal team at BASF seeks a Legal Counsel to support divisions across the Americas, Europe and Asia. You will provide high‑quality legal and compliance services, ensuring customer‑oriented, efficient and future‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support BASF businesses in complex contractual analysis and compliance matters.
• Maintain and update a centralized contract repository and generate status reports for management.
• Create and deliver training materials for legal and compliance tools such as CLM platforms, TrustBase and OneTrust.
• Provide guidance on drafting, negotiating and selecting high‑complexity contracts and model clauses.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of standard model contracts and contractual clauses.

Required profile

• Strong background in corporate law, intellectual property and compliance.
• Ability to work across multiple regions (Americas, Europe, Asia) with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Experience delivering training and user support for legal technology tools.
