Legal Associate – KYC & Compliance (Contractor)

About the role

Kalexius is expanding its Compliance team in Montevideo and seeks a Legal Associate on a contractor basis. You will lead Know‑Your‑Client (KYC) processes, ensuring thorough due‑diligence and risk assessment for corporate and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review documentation from legal entities and individuals within standardized KYC procedures.
• Conduct enhanced background checks and analyse red flags based on corporate structures.
• Liaise with stakeholders to expedite KYC workflows.
• Draft comprehensive KYC reports and related documentation upon completion.

Required profile

• Law degree; compliance diploma or specialization is a plus.
• Junior to mid‑level experience in third‑party due‑diligence or compliance.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and proactive problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using SharePoint and web‑based collaboration tools.
