Lead GMP Floor Technician

About the role

The Lead GMP Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and compliant floor surfaces in a GMP‑controlled environment. This role oversees floor‑care activities, ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and supports the team in delivering high‑quality cleaning services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and cleaning of tile, carpet, and brick surfaces.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of permanent and temporary staff within the GMP program.
• Conduct safety, service, and environmental inspections and report findings.
• Track equipment and supply inventories, schedule maintenance, and manage repairs.
• Provide training on safety procedures, gowning, and floor‑care techniques.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, pass‑down reports, and documentation required by SOPs.
• Respond to customer requests professionally and ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and supervise a team without constant supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety, GMP compliance, and cleanroom protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Professional appearance and communication skills when interacting with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.

Required skills

• Operation of motorized floor‑cleaning equipment.
• Floor‑care techniques including waxing, stripping, and buffing.
• GMP cleaning and sanitization procedures.
• Inventory tracking and equipment maintenance.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper gowning.
